Last week, we wrapped up our Seventh Major Research Review at the beautiful University of Adelaide campus. This event brought together all training centre HDR students, supervisors, and industry partners, creating a fantastic environment for collaboration.

The day kicked off with a strategic update from Director Peter Dowd, showcasing the impressive progress and planning of the Training Centre. With nearly 40% of HDR students on track to complete this year, and many projects showing strong commercialisation potential, the training centre is actively exploring new avenues to take these innovations further. Importantly, the Director also emphasied the challenge to pursue new avenues for commercialisation as well as engaging more industry partners for additional investments.

The event not only demonstrated the depth and quality of the research, but also sparked genuine excitement and discussion among our industry partners — a great reminder of the real-world potential of what we’re building together.

Congratulations to all the training centre HDR students — your passion and progress are seriously inspiring. Wishing you all the best as you move forward.
