Over three days, the ARC Training Centre for Integrated Operations for Complex Resources proudly showcased all of our research projects throughout the APCOM 2025 conference.
It’s been encouraging to see the strong interest, valuable connections, and potential new collaborations ahead for our researchers.
Highlights included:
✨ Day 1 keynote by Training Centre Executive member Dr Penny Stewart, “Holding AI Technology to Account”.
✨ Training Centre’s HDR 17 JUNLIN QU kicked off the Mine Planning & Scheduling stream with his presentation: “A Mathematical Model for Real-Time Ore Flow Optimisation from Uncertain Resources to Run-of-Mine Stockpiles and Processing Plant.”
✨ On Day 3, our Director Professor Peter Dowd led a keynote session on “The ARC Training Centre for Integrated Operations for Complex Resources”.
✨ Wrapping up on a high note — JUNLIN QU was awarded the prestigious Daniel G. Krige Best Student Paper Award for his paper on real-time ore flow optimisation, showcasing the cutting-edge research driving innovation in mining operations.
