This week, we had the great pleasure of welcoming our industry partners and Training Centre members to the @Adelaide Wine Centre for our 8th Major Research Review Meeting. Despite the wild weather, the room was buzzing with energy as our HDRs shared their reserach achievements and engaged industry partners eager to provide real-world insights.
This event crated a fantastic platform for students to connect with sponsors, present their project progress, and receive valuable feedback from their supervisors and industry experts
🔍 Highlight of the Day: was featured by the Commercialisation Panel discussion featuring by Peter Harriss (University of Adelaide) and Dr. Mobin Nomvar PhD, explored how projects were selected for commercialisation—not just by CRL vs. TRL, but by market size, deployment potential, and platform technology opportunities. Industry partners will play a key role in the next steps to ensure smooth technology transfer and real-world impact.
🎓 Congratulations to all HDRs and Postdocs for completing project reports—a major milestone to wrap up the year! Special shout-out to HDR17 JUNLIN QU, winner of the Best Poster Presentation (chosen by an industry judging panel), and HDR3 Milena Nasretdinova, winner of People’s Choice Poster Presentation.
